Themes

BitDek ships with five handcrafted themes. Each one is a complete look, colors and type together, not just an accent color swapped out.

Choosing a theme

Settings → Appearance → Theme opens the theme picker. A large preview updates as you tap through the list, and your choice applies instantly. No confirm step, no restart.

The five:

• Modern Orange (the default)
• Nominal Blue
• Cyan Shift
• Neon Wave
• Sunset

What a theme changes

Every theme carries its own full color palette, from backgrounds and buttons to the player’s accents. Type comes along too: Nominal Blue sets body text in a proportional face for a cleaner, quieter read, while the other four use a monospaced face with a more technical character. Pick by mood. They’re all built for long listening sessions.

Light and dark

Themes follow your iPhone’s appearance setting on their own. Every theme has a light and a dark palette, and BitDek switches with the system, day to night.

The one deliberate exception is the player, which stays dark in every theme. Your artwork is the light source there.

Backgrounds that listen

The player’s background isn’t part of any theme. It’s drawn from your music. BitDek pulls the dominant colors from the current album’s artwork and builds a soft gradient behind the controls, shifting with every track change. An album with no artwork falls back to the theme’s own player background.

There’s nothing to configure. Play something and watch the room change.
